Born in 1969. Literary scholar, cultural and sport anthropologist, professor at SWPS University in Warsaw, expert on pop culture. For the last decade he has been writing detective novels. So far, he has received the “Wielki Kaliber” award twice: for his novels 21:37 and R.I.P. – in 2009 and 2017, respectively. He also writes theoretical treatises on detective literature, e.g. Etnolog w Mieście Grzechu. Powieść kryminalna jako świadectwo antropologiczne or Krwawa setka. 100 najważniejszych powieści kryminalnych (co-authored by Wojciech J. Burszta). He has recently published another of his detective novels, Dziewczynka z zapalniczką (“Girl with a Lighter”, 2018).
